North of Tyne Mayor Jamie Driscoll has invited all 6th forms and colleges in the region to get involved in the Mayor’s Schools Climate Challenge.

Launching on 10 November the challenge is to develop a working computer game to help raise awareness of climate change issues.  The North of Tyne Combined Authority (NTCA) are supporting Newcastle University who will work with the KS5 students from participating 6th forms and colleges to develop their computer game.

The Mayor’s Schools Climate Challenge supports young people to engage in proactive climate change activities. NTCA recognises the importance of children having access to world class environmental education and are exploring ways to support our schools to provide this.
