The North of Tyne Combined Authority (NTCA) and all 3 constituent Local Authorities declared a climate emergency in 2019. The Combined Authority is therefore working to become a Net Zero organisation.

As a key first step, our Environmental Policy sets out how we intend to minimise the impact of our activities on the environment, maximise the benefits of positive environmental action, and lead by example in sharing our learning.

To become a Net Zero organisation, the NTCA has committed to the a range of actions in its Environmental Policy.

As part of working to become a Net Zero organisation, the NTCA undertakes a Carbon Footprint Report annually. Read the latest edition of the Carbon Footprint Report.
