Anne Lyall is the Chief Executive Officer of Northumberland Community & Voluntary Action and NTCA Inclusive Economy Board member.
She has been involved at a senior level within the Voluntary and Community Sector for over 30 years, working with individuals and groups in some of the most deprived wards in the country.
Since her first role in 1997 establishing a new volunteer centre, she has been instrumental in building dedicated services for voluntary organisations and volunteers throughout Northumberland.
Anne has developed Northumberland CVA’s employability programmes and projects, funded through national and regional funds including Working Neighbourhoods Fund, Northumberland Strategic Partnership and the DWP New Deal programme. Currently she is working with Northumberland County Council and five other VCS partners in delivering a Building Better Opportunities Project across the county.
In her role as a representative for the sector Anne has been involved in the Northumberland Strategic Partnership Executive Board, the Northumberland Employability and Skills Strategy Partnership and South East Northumberland Area Partnership.
In addition to her work locally, she has held a number of national positions, including Chair and Vice Chair with North East Region of Volunteering Infrastructure (NEVI) and Regional Representative on the England Volunteer Development Council until 2010.
In her spare time, Anne volunteers for a local school and enjoys reading, gardening and walking.Declaration of Interests
