Local Nature Recovery Strategies (LNRS) are a new way of prioritising nature needs on a focused and local level.  Each LNRS will be specific and tailored to its location and will help people to see where action to recover nature would be most effective.

Each LNRS will agree priorities for nature recovery and propose actions in the locations where it would make a particular contribution to achieving those priorities.

The North of Tyne Combined Authority  was granted funding from the Department of Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA) to deliver the LNRS strategy for the North of Tyne area.   NTCA has agreed that Northumberland County Council would lead the delivery and work with key regional stakeholders and local authorities to develop the strategy on behalf of the area.
