North of Tyne Combined Authority (NTCA) and Creative England are forming a partnership; with North of Tyne investing £3.25m in the region’s creative and cultural industries over the next two and a half years. This is a large and important sector, with around 5000 businesses, practitioners and freelancers. It has grown in the North East by fifty per cent since 2010.

In early summer we will be launching a bespoke programme of funding, investment and business support for the sector.  This will help it become more resilient and drive regeneration beyond this pandemic.

Watch Jamie Driscoll, Mayor of North of Tyne welcome the new partnership.

On this partnership programme Creative England will be working with Creative Fuse, North East Cultural Partnership and The Community Foundation for Tyne and Wear. Creative or cultural businesses and freelancers, can register interest by emailing cultureandcreative@northoftyne-ca.gov.uk
