Led by North East Autism Society (NEAS), with Azure Charitable Enterprises as co-delivery partners, Progress NE will provide specialist support to neurodivergent residents across the whole North of Tyne area from October 2023 until March 2025.
The project is being delivered by two organisations with a proven track record in supporting a wide range of people with additional needs.
The North East Autism Society is the leading voice concerning Autism and Neurodivergence (AND) in the region; passionate around the skills, talents and abilities of people with disabilities and other hidden impairments.
Azure Charitable Enterprises are a charity based in Cramlington providing support to people who are disabled/disadvantaged; enabling people to: live independently, access their communities and to gain skills through training.
The project team are committed to helping those who face barriers to employment by offering personalised support to economically inactive residents tailoring their approach to the unique interests, skills and abilities of each individual. Progress NE provides an experienced team of dedicated and knowledgeable employment specialists, who work on a 1 2 1 basis with participants to identify their goals, access support and help them achieve their full potential.
Individuals or organisations interested in accessing support can do so via the Progress NE website.
This project is funded by the UK government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.
