The NTCA provide £800,000 as part of the £1.34m Business Energy Saving Team (BEST) project. Delivered by Newcastle City Council between February 2023 – January 2025 on behalf of the whole North of Tyne region, BEST is supporting SMEs and Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprises to reduce energy costs and greenhouse gas emissions, thereby increasing business resilience and adaptive capacity to achieve net zero targets and support economic growth.

Development of Retrofit at Scale Business Scale and Delivery of Energy Advice

Working as a key delivery partner of the North East and Yorkshire Net Zero Hub, the NTCA is supporting the delivery of the LEAD in the North East. The LEAD programme is funding projects piloting new approaches to provide in-person energy advice across the North East between Summer 2023 and March 2025.
