The North of Tyne Combined Authority is investing £3.5m into our Tourism and Events Programme. This includes bringing new bookable tourism products to market, which inspire more visitors to stay longer, do more and spend more in our area.
Working with local destination marketing organisations, Visit Northumberland and NewcastleGateshead Initiative, as well as North Tyneside Council, we are funding the creation of three new tourism products themed around food and drink, outdoors adventures, and winter breaks.
Now, we are seeking ideas from tourism businesses, through our industry design consultation, for a further five products that we can commission on behalf of the tourism community.
Our downloadable presentation outlines our vision, requirements, timeline, and how to submit an idea. And our submission form is also available on this webpage.
Submissions should be made to Matt Bratton, Economic Development Officer (Tourism), by midnight on Sunday 15 August via Matt.Bratton@northoftyne-ca.gov.uk
