The North of Tyne Combined Authority (NTCA) has allocated an indicative amount of £2.75m for Skills for Growth in Digital and Creative sectors.

The North of Tyne Combined Authority (NTCA) has allocated an indicative amount of £1.25m of its Skills for Growth funding to support the development of cultural and creative skills and careers. This funding forms part of our Culture and Creative programme and aligns with NTCA’s Strategic Skills Plan. 

It has allocated a further £1.5m for Skills for Growth within Digital Innovation, aligned to a broader set of programmes that will see investment in business support, inward investment and infrastructure.  

We are interested in innovative proposals that equip people of all ages and backgrounds to develop skills for jobs in either of these sectors. Projects may offer structured career pathways into the sector, including new technical qualifications, apprenticeships and sector based route-ways.     

Projects may also support retraining, upskilling or reskilling members of the workforce to meet the needs of a local employer or sector. Full details are provided in the two Call specification documents below.
