North of Tyne Combined Authority (NTCA), with support from Learning and Work Institute (L&W) is conducting a ‘call for evidence’ requesting further qualitative evidence from stakeholders who have experience working with economically inactive residents in any capacity, to help inform future provision.
The call for evidence, which opened on 25 October and runs until 9 November 2022, is open to all stakeholders across the North of Tyne area working to support residents who are economically inactive.
NTCA’s vision is of a dynamic and more inclusive economy, one that brings together people and opportunities to create vibrant communities and a high quality of life, narrowing inequalities and ensuring that all residents have a stake in our region’s future. Reducing inequalities and improving access to opportunities is also an inherent part of the Government’s Levelling Up Strategy and subsequent UK Shared Prosperity Fund programme (UKSPF).
NTCA will invest their allocation of UKSPF resources in activities to achieve this vision. This includes supporting unemployed people and others not active in the labour market to secure jobs. We want to build on the existing investment that NTCA and its partners are already delivering to boost employability among those out of work. Therefore we are conducting this ‘call for evidence’ requesting further qualitative evidence from stakeholders who have experience working with economically inactive residents in any capacity, to help inform future provision.
We encourage contributions from individuals and organisations from a variety of backgrounds, sectors and specialisms. We welcome all types of evidence and have included options to upload files. This may include evaluations, case studies or video and audio responses to the questions. All responses to this call will be treated in confidence. Any publication resulting from the call for evidence will not identify respondents or their organisation.
