North East Regional Director for Business Organisation, CBI

Sarah Glendinning is North East Regional Director for Business Organisation at the CBI and NTCA Inclusive Economy Board member.

Her role at CBI sees her representing member interests at a local, national and international level. This follows on from a background of commercial roles in graphic arts, IT and manufacturing for local and multi-national organisations. As part of her current role Sarah is engaged with a number of groups working to improve economic opportunity in the region.

She currently represents the business community on the North East Covid-19 Economic Response Group; NECA Economic Development and Digital Advisory Board and works with both regional LEP’s on education and economic projects, including chairing the advisory group for North East Ambition and supporting the work of the Tees Valley Combined Authority Board. She also supports the work of Greggs Breakfast Clubs and The Prince’s Trust in the North East.

She is passionate about raising aspirations in our young people and is involved in a range of diversity initiatives including running a Future Leaders and Women in Leadership Group, and as a result has been named as a “Northern Power Women” and won awards recognising her as a “Women of Influence”.
