The North of Tyne Cabinet is the decision-making body of the authority, with wide-ranging powers and responsibilities over economic growth, skills, housing policy and enhancing the places and communities in our region. It aims to drive economic growth and job creation, invest in digital skills and science and support rural growth.
The North of Tyne Cabinet comprises the Elected Mayor, two elected members from each constituent council and a representative of the North East Local Enterprise Partnership, with the elected members being responsible for a specific portfolio.
